This year is to busy for Christmas cards. So what I was going to make

Christmas cards out of is now on my Christmas blog. Nordstrom had a Christmas party/shopping night for employees. It was fun even if you didn't buy anything. Lots of things for the kids to do. There was even a DJ playing music you can hear from all 3 floors. They even catered food in which was really good and soda stations on every floor. Hope you all have a great Christmas. We get to spend it with grandma this year which the kids are excited. Rich unfortunatly couldn't be here, he has to work. Busy, busy time for retail. We will miss him mucho. Merry Christmas!!

It was so much fun to get away to somewhere we haven't been before. The road trip was fun cuz we had every snack you can think of and lots of movies. It only took 2 and half hours to get there. Really pretty. We passed the town Summerland where that show was taped. No idea it was a town. And if you are homeless Santa Barbara is the place for you. They treat homeless like royalty. Even Nordstrom will give them food and coffee. It is totally a small, hippy type town. But a RICH hippy town. Like the hippys finally got a job. And don't mention Walmart or you will be stoned to death. Oh and I promise I fed my kids they just didn't have Pringles.

The funnest thing we did was ride the trolley for 25 cents up and down from downtown to the beach and back. Again giving the homeless free rides. The trolley stopped right in front of the Art Museum which was free that day. That was fun. The kids actually were interested at looking at the pictures and of course the kids gallery. I think Enrique's favorite thing was staking out his spot on the bed at the hotel and watching shows with just boxers and spiderman slippers.

Nordstrom's was beautiful. They just redid the restaurant. The food was awesome cuz my hubby made it otherwise I would just stick with Marketplace or Bistro. The classic cafe is more of a simple menu which is what this one was.

It was also cold and no sun. But thats ok I was wanting that weather. Our pudding and hot chocolate picnic was fun. That was Kaelei's idea. Kaelei was hoping the hotel was our new house. She didn't want to go home. Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving!!

Last Saturday we were invited to Enrique's friend Sam's last soccer game. It was fun. Enrique was the photographer. He also knew a couple friends from the opposite team so he had to get their mug also. He was kicked off the field 2x for taking pictures. Do I see paparazzi in the future? He is in the right state. I forgot to ask who won the game cuz it was so close. It was fun rootn him on. You wouldn't believe it now but that day was so cold we needed a blanket. It is now over 90 degrees just a couple days later. Thanks Dunner family for the invite.

Well we are off to Santa Barbara this weekend. I am so excited. Rich has to cover a chef at that Nordstrom's resturaunt while me and the kids hit the beach. Sorry Rich. So now I'm not so mad it got hot again. I'll take lots of pictures to let y'all see.

Happy Birthday Jacque!!

Happy Birthday Jacque. It was Jacque's birthday on Saturday and yes I forgot. I can't believe she is still talking to me. Her hubby took her to Texas Road House and she bought herself Dance Revolution- jealous-. Sorry again Jacque. I love ya.

Pumpkin Carving

We finally carved our pumpkins. Yes this was before Halloween. Enrique did a good job on his. Kaelei started out nice then wanted to see all the colors together. Hence the after pumpkin. Rich did Jack Skeleton if you couldn't tell. A self portrait. I didn't take any pictures of Halloween since they were the same thing as last year. We had fun though. We went to a free church event where they just loaded the bags with candy. The kids even won 2 goldfish. Which we are down to 1, the day after. We then tried to go trick or treating but Enrique got sick so we had to go home. Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween!!

Pumpkin Patch

I found a pumpkin patch we can actually go and pick it ourselves. There aren't much of those around here. It was alot of fun. The pumpkins were only 4$ too. The same price at Trader Joe's. They are usually 4$ a pound at these places. There wasn't much of the rides or bounce houses but that day was unusually hot so we were ready to leave right after picking our pumpkins out. And thanks to ME we brought the basket. Rich thought he was going to carry the pumpkins until he saw the field. He didn't want to be seen pushing a grandma cart.

So in case you haven't seen the news we had some major fires. They all circled where we live. We have had smoke and ash everywhere. The kids weren't allowed to play outside at recess or lunch now for 4 days. So needless to say they are getting a little hyper in the classrooms. Poor teachers. And this is the week I get alot of crossguard work. Oh well more money $$. I can afford to have my kids hospitalized from inhaling all the smoke.
